"It's banter init, if you've got banter you're alright." - Rio Ferdinand, 2006

Mick's season was short-lived, but had some memorable moments to go with it. He joined in late pre-season and unfortunately couldn't be registered in time to catch the first couple of games, where Banter were desperately short on personnel. Having already shown what he can do in both the September friendlies, he kicked off his Banter life with a good display partnering Wommy up front against Oakfield Manor.
With perhaps the best nickname out of anyone who's ever played for Banter (Hore might argue Romantic, though), Lick Me was never afraid to have a shot at goal. A regular at training, he would often have a go from well inside his own half, which would make the vain on the side of Jonny Gill's head burst because someone had squandered possession cheaply.
One of Mick's most admirable qualities was the fact that he lives in Dagenham and would drive to games and training every week, taking him about 90 minutes one way.
His best performance came in central midfield, playing in front of Jonny and Rod, where he linked up with the forwards wonderfully and whilst having 2,000 attempts on goal, managed to score Banter's 5th during a memorable win in the October rain against Santos.
