2010/11 Predictions - how did it go?

Time to look back. Prior to the season, predictions were made on the lovely forum. So, how did it go?

Where will Banter finish in the league?

Not even close. It should, however, be noted that the league formation altered three days before the first game and Portland left whilst Selsdon joined. Kurdish is also a former team (finished 5th last year), so this is a little hard to judge. No Santos, Barracuda or Selsdon in the top two so nil pwa all round.

Different answers for different players, obviously. Cling and Baird nailed it, Brownie chose his shirt number over 24, Manny was wrong for even suggesting any, Fintan guessed how old the opposition usually say he looks and the rest guessed just a tad too many. Only a couple of points gained there.

What are your aims for this season?
Cling: Gain promotion and be involved in every game
Brownie: dont get injured, score 6 in a game, get a player sent off, get parin sent off, more assists than last year.
Vidic: more clean sheets, more points, to score a hat-trick in a game, to learn to be as ruthless as Parin when chopping an attacker down, to win at John Ruskin, not to lose to Portland, to kill Portland, FUCK OFF PORTLAND, FUCK OFF PORTLAND...
Tino: Personally i hope to improve my self at work and ideally would like to meet a nice girl to settle down with. With banter I would like for us to improve on all areas from last year. More clean sheets, more points than last season and to win at least one piece of silverware.
Fintan: Get injured, fall over 6 times in a game, send Parin off, give a penalty against Wilkes, get an assist.
Baird: Score a header
Wilkes: Keep Morale up, to entertain, create more videos with Cling, concede a penalty by Rob, 8 assists; 5 goals
Ridders: Win the league, improve on last season's assist tally, tell Portland to Fck Off

So much to judge. Cling gets one, Brownie and Vidic claim two, Tino and Baird get none this round, Fintan helps himself to a couple, Wilkess get one and Ridders made his predictions late - Portland already had fucked off.

It was almost a clean sweep but for Rids’ belief that Adkins could play two full seasons in a row.
