The Goal Of The Season competition is hotting up, here is a quick recap from the season...
2009/10 Goals Of The Month:
September - Edd Adkins, vs. Woodmansterne Hyde, 27/09/09
Wommy cuts back to Adkins 25 yards from goal which he swung in and past the goalkeeper to his left.
October - Chris Brown, vs. Kurdish United, 04/10/09
A long ball from Baird, Brownie's curved run reaches the ball left of the goal, 20 yards out, he hits if first time with a chip over the goalkeeper.
November - Edd Adkins, vs. Central Ward, 08/11/09
Adkins one-two with Baird, letting the ball run across his body Adkins peppered the ball long, up and into the top left corner.
December - Tom Ridley, vs. Horley Crickets, 13/12/09
Ball forward from Wommy to Ridders on the edge of the area one v one, looked up and chipped the goalkeeper.
January - Tommy Warburton, vs. Carlton United, 31/01/10
Quick corner from Ridders to Brown with a one-two, Ridders delivery to Wommy from 12 yards out, overhead kick bottom left.
February - Phil Hughes, vs. Maple Tree, 07/02/10
Baird drilled the ball into space for Hughes to run onto wide left, Hughes placed his shot into the top right corner from the tight angle.
March - Tommy Warburton, vs. Portland, 25/03/10
Ball sent over the top by Rids, Wommy came wide and smashed a shot from the right in at the near post.
April - Dan Wilkes, vs. Crown FC, 04/03/10
Clearance to Wilkes 25 yards from goal, he hit a first time left foot shot into the far corner.
2008/09 Goal of the Season:
Parin Patel vs. Santos 92, 26th October 2008.
A headed clearance from Banter's area found Cling down the right who stormed forward towards goal, he fed Wommy into the penalty area who in turn backheeled for Boma, who'd run the length of the pitch to get involved, he took one touch to set, the other to stroke into the bottom corner.
2007/08 Goal of the Season:
Tommy Warburton vs. Croydon Corporation, 14th October 2007.
Euro's corner was fired to the back post for Wommy to smash into the top corner, first time, from 12 yards out.
